ABOUT US

It seems I have always been working in the construction field. It’s what I love to do. I started at a very young age working for my dad, Roger, who owned a foundation business for twenty years.

After dad sold the business, he talked me into helping him build some apartment buildings and spec homes. At the time I was studying Construction Design in college, so I was on board knowing this was a great time for learning. That was in 1994 when dad said, “Come on, let’s do this.” I took the leap and I am very glad everyday that I did. I really owe my dad for the man and the builder I am today. Yes, there were times when I regretted my decision. Now looking back, I see that it just comes with starting a new business.

Ready Construction has grown from building around three houses a year to around eight houses; and usually an apartment building along the way. Our typical average house is, but not limited to, around 1500 to 3500 square foot on an above basement floor. We have also built a lot of apartment buildings which include a twenty unit building in Sedalia and a 30 unit building in Jefferson City.

A typical customer is anyone with a dream. Working with so many different types of people, I always seem to make friends along the way. I am in contact with many of my previous customers.

I work to make the building process easy for my customers by helping them with all their building decisions. I ask a lot of questions to get a feel for what they are wanting in a home. I offer my opinion on things I have done or have always wanted to do. Most people have an idea but have trouble bringing those ideas to life. This is my job, “Making Dreams Come True!”

I was the 2005 President of the Jefferson City Home Builders Association. The value that this organization brings to this community is priceless, and I am very proud to be a part of it.

My goal for the future is to keep up the steady growth that I have experienced. I hope to only get bigger and better but still keep my integrity. Building is the backbone of the country.

Now on a personal level; my wife, Gwynn, and I were high school sweethearts. They have been married for almost 14 years. We have a nine year old son and a almost seven year old daughter. We like to spend most of our time in the summer on the Osage River. I love to golf and fish, I also enjoy taking the kids fishing.

I thank God for all the blessings in life that I have been give. I have a great family and friends who support me in all that Gwynn and I want to do. And, I get to work in the business I love, Construction!
